This is a very fast and reliable solid state drive (SSD); ~10 times faster read speed than a conventional drive. You will notice this mostly on OS and application startup. However, SSDs should be set up and maintained slightly differently than a regular mechanical hard drive. To maintain peak performance over time do not use disk defragmenting. Turn off auto defragment. If possible, set temporary internet caches to a ramdisk or other non-SSD drive as heavy over-writing can also degrade performance over time.
